Mergers & Acquisitions
Ever since Hellström’s founding in the beginning of the 1990s, the law firm has had a clear focus on mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring deals. Our role as advisors in the purchase and sale of corporations, businesses, and companies is still a substantial part of our practice.
Given Hellström’s roots in M&A, and banking and finance law, many of our attorneys and partners are well established in the M&A team. Hellström has successfully acted as key counsel in some of the largest and most complex commercial transactions on the Swedish market, and we assist clients in all types of sales and acquisitions — big and small. Jonas Forsman is head of the M&A group together with Hans Liljeblad. Bengt Olovsson, Anders Lundberg, Göran Andersson, and Jonas Wetterfors are also partners on the team. Together, the group organises task teams to serve Hellström’s clients and provide comprehensive support in a specific business transaction. The M&A team often work to identify the most suitable corporate structure for a company and are accustomed to working with a wide variety of transactions — including cross border transactions — which requires a high level of competence and hands on experience. In addition to key legal knowledge regarding the required documentation and handling of legal risks in a transaction, Hellström takes pride in adding value through its expertise in the management of projects and in negotiations.
Do you own a business that you are considering transferring, or have you identified a potential purchase object in Sweden? Do you have questions about incorporating your asset for a certain divestment, or do you simply want to know more about our M&A services and prepare for a transaction? Do not hesitate to contact Hellström M&A. We are always happy to discuss ways we can assist you in your business transactions and any related issues.
